Wadsworth Library closed until further notice

With concern high regarding safety and public health, Wadsworth Library takes social responsibility and our commitment very seriously to keeping our community healthy and safe. For that reason, Wadsworth Library will be closed until further notice. Due dates on items will be adjusted and no overdue fines will be charged during this period. The library book return will still be available for users wishing to return items. All scheduled programs have been cancelled.

Please stay tuned for updates on our website www.wadslib.com and our social media pages.

We appreciate your patience and understanding during what continues to be an unprecedented and fluid situation. As always, our decisions will continue to be made with the health and safety of staff members, library patrons and the community in mind.

Wadsworth Library Building Up for the Future

Wadsworth Library is launching a capital campaign as we prepare to Build Up for the Future. This project will add a second floor in the 1996 addition to the library. This will become the children’s library, roughly tripling the space available for Children’s Services. The total cost of the project, including new furnishings, will be about $1.5 million. Thanks to the generosity of our donors and a NY State Library Construction Aid grant, we only need to raise $442,000. Anyone interested in donating can contribute directly to the Wadsworth Library Children’s Building Fund, which is managed by the Rochester Area Community Foundation, or Friends of Wadsworth Library’s GoFundMe page, or by making a check out directly to Wadsworth Library.
