A public budget vote and trustee election was held on Tuesday, May 12, 2026 at Wadsworth Library, 24 Center ST, NY 14454 between the hours of 8:00 am and 8:00 pm.
Residents of the Geneseo Central School District voted to approve a tax levy for a total levy of $481,862.80 to support Wadworth Library in the 2026-2027 fiscal year. The Library’s projected 2026-2027 budget is $567,837.80.
The proposition passed with a final vote tally of 131 yes to 8 no.
Voters also elected in three candidates to fill three trustee seats for 2 three-year terms and 1 two-year term beginning July 1, 2026. James McLean (112 votes) and Holly Salatel (53 votes) will serve three-year term and Dr. Eugene Scherline (40 votes) will serve a two-year term.
